October 9th, 2026 - I've got 3 new sugar-free drinks to reviw from this past week. C4 is a brand I have plenty of experience with, particularly their Frozen Bombsicle, Hawaiian Punch, and Jolly Rancher flavours which are easy to find in Canada (hawaiian punch is my go-to for this brand). Both Gorilla Mind and El Jefe are brands that are new to me.
C4's Cereal Killer is a pretty faithful attempt at recreating a soggy bowl of froot loops inside an energy drink. It's weird because the carbonation is all there, and the fruity taste at the start of your sip is quite strong, but it rapidly fades into a milky and grainy flavour combination that really puts me off. It's the second worst energy drink I've ever had, only beating out Alani Nu Pumpkin Cream.
Gorilla Mind Black Cherry Vanilla is a very strong and deep black cherry flavour that my coworker enjoyed more than I did. I was hoping for more of a balance between the cherry and vanilla, though if you're a fan of rich umami cherry, this flavour is excellent! I think most people would enjoy it.El Hefe Sinister Razz is a smooth and creamy raspberry flavour that I enjoyed quite a bit. While some other brands go for a more sour raspberry approach, this one is a sweet yet easily drinkable flavour and I'm excited to try what else this brand has to offer.
